With two points races before the ARCA/CRA Super Series Chase for a Championship begins, Josh Brock feels pretty good about his 2018 season.  Currently the point leader, he is set for a return to the track where he picked up his first series win and eyes a strong run chasing a title.

“For the second half of the season we are definitely working extremely hard on having good, consistent, strong runs and staying out of trouble,” said Brock.  “We’d love to get a couple more wins and coming home with the 2018 championship is the main goal.”

The Corbin, KY driver was not satisfied with their latest CRA Super Series effort at Toledo Speedway.  After qualifying fifth, the team brought home a tenth-place finish.

“We didn’t have a very strong run at Toledo,” said Brock.  “It wasn’t as strong as we were hoping for.  Overall on our team we have a lot better potential than what we ran.  After the first 30 laps we totally lost the handling of the car, but we learned some stuff and have to capitalize on that and be better there next time.”

Next up for Brock is a trip to Anderson Speedway for the Redbud 400, the same track where he earned his first ever CRA Super Series win earlier this year.  That strong run builds confidence heading into one of the marquee Super Late Model evens of the season and raises the bar for performance.

“We feel very confident going into the Redbud,” said Brock.  “We had such a great car there and won and we think our set-up is extremely good on long runs.  We have practiced pit stops, so we are going into this race very prepared.  I think one of the main things going in is to survive the first 300 laps, so you can race the last 100.”

There will be practice on Sunday, July 15th for the Redbud 400 followed by additional practice, qualifying and racing on Monday, July 16th. Fans can watch the race live on speed51.com.
