Josh Brock brought home a sixth-place finish from his first CARS Racing Tour event Saturday at Motor Mile Speedway.  The defending ARCA/CRA Super Series champion qualified fifth in his No. 17 Stream Restoration Specialists machine and raced around the fifth position all afternoon before solidifying a sixth-place finish in the Heritage Truck Centers 125.

“It was a fun weekend and extremely nice facility,” said Brock.  “I can’t wait to race there again.  We got the car pretty close in practice and had a decent qualifying run.  Once the sun set and the track cooled down a lot the car started getting really tight in the center.  We lost our momentum through the corners and finished sixth.”

The Corbin, KY driver enjoyed his first experience with the CARS Tour and has a return trip to Motor Mile Speedway on the docket.

“The officials with the CARS Tour were extremely nice and made you feel welcome,” said Brock.  “I’m excited that we got the opportunity to race at Motor Mile, what an amazing and nice facility for short track racing.  Now that we have some good set-up notes for the next time, we’ll be able to fight for the win.”

Next-up for Brock is a visit to Bristol Motor Speedway for the US Short Track Nationals.
